1995 American violin

HIlary Hahn juz came to SIngapore and her playing is superb.. i luv her playing. Anyone seen her play b4? what are ur comments? She's really nice and friendly, no airs at all.. not like other violinists. I got her autogragh abd her Bach Cd.. its fabulous! I've luv to hear what u think of her:P

Toscha u seem to be very well verse in this field.Do u play the piano? I've heard Aurther Rub.'s Nocturne in Eflat from the mp3 i downloaded. there seem to be "xtra effect" e.g sound of water fall in his pieces..which i do not really like.'cos i'm looking for pure piano music. So are u guys referring to his recording wif or wifout the extra sound effect?

I've recently fell in luv wif chopin's Nocturnes. I'd like to get a CD on tat one. Any recommendation?like which pianist interprets Chopin the best? thanks!

Elissa I really understand how u feel b'cos i've been throu humilation on national tv! I didn't tune my violin b4 i went on tv to perform live. I was really discourage after tat and refused to touch my violin. I haf only been playing the violin for abt 2yrs plus ..i hadd some doubts b4 i choose to play the violin at the talent show on nationn tv..my teacher was very encouraging..he said "if they laugh at u...tell them tat they will get the last laugh" i dun realli know what he meant. But i guess he's pretty encouraging. I went all out of tune on tv...'cos the violin was out of tune...and to add to humilation..my so-called "fren" even criticized me for my playing ..it was very hurtful. Now after a few mths..i've sort of gotten over it and begin to luv my violin once more.

I juz finished my ABRSM grade4 exam (JULY). I'm working on the grade5 pieces now..so i think i'd take it next yr in July. I'm still deciding b'cos i might be taking gr8 piano exam next yr IF i pass my gr7 exam this sep..i'm so scared..

I'm talking abt violin version. The one i heard on Sarah Chang's cd is just violin solo. Is its Itzak Perlman tat u guys are talking abt in " Perlman and Williams"?

what recordings does he have? can u recommend a few?
