Two piece back, narrow lively flame, matching ribs, golden amber color neck is loose in body. Length of back 75.4cm, Upper bouts 34.3.cm, Middle bouts 24.1cm, Lower Bouts 44.6. No set up, rib cracks, slightly re-carved F holes.
ViolaJ.F. AldricLabeled " J.F. Aldric, Paris 1841". Two piece maple back with medium flame and light brown varnish. Body length 17".
ViolaMarc LaberteLabeled "Marc Laberte, Mirecourt...". Dark red brown varnish--two piece back.
ViolaRemyBranded "Remy" on inside back. Brown varnish with a one piece back lightly flamed. Length of back 15 1/16".

ViolinDomenico Corbucci Parma ca 1880. Labeled Enrico Marchetti, Torino 1929. Orange wrinkled varnish, broad flamed two piece back with a wide grain top and wide edges. Fingerboard missing.

ViolinJohn Johnson London, 1759. (Maker's label). Light brown varnish, narrow flamed one piece back, small crack above left F hole. Not set up.
ViolinEleve D'SarasateFrench, ca 1900. Branded Eleve D'Sarasate on neck button. Red-brown varnish--two piece back medium flame, high arch, no fingerboard.
