Type: Violoncello
Description: A fine and handsome English Violoncello, bearing the maker's label Made by John barret at ye Harp & Crown in Pickadilly, London 1727, in brown mahogany case. The two-piece back of matched narrow curl, ribs and later scroll of similar figure, table of narrow to medium grain, varnish of a golden amber brown colour, old restorations, now in immediate playing condition.
